In reply to Brassen :
For Torbutton, just download the current .xpi, rename it to .zip, extract the install.rdf file, edit the MaxVersion to 3.0.* then update the zip with the modified file. Then rename to .xpi and install, it just works great. Same for FoxyProxy !

I've just installed FF3 RC1, and browsing through the add-ons it seems most are listed as "this is for an older version of Firefox".

Would it seem obvious to give the user an option (or in their user profile) to specify to only display addons for selection that are compatible with version 3.0

There are a few there that are 3.0 friendly, but it seems such a stupid idea to force users to wade through the older non-compatible stuff to find it.

1. Here's something (but you can't use it)
2. Here is another one (but yep, it's only for 2.0)
3. Look at this (but don't install - it needs to be updated).
4. This looks handy (but not for you).

If they can detect that the addons are for an older version of FF, then why not exclude them from the list to make the users job easier, and encourage the "excluded authors to update"??

There is a problem trying to load items from the sandbox (experimental) it is themes and extensions. everything that is out of the sandbox installs fine. Is this a bug or a security issue???

I think
View Source Chart
is an addon to mention ("Draws a Color-Coded Chart of a Webpage's Source Code")

https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/655

Has anyone news about it ?

About MinimizeToTray - 2.0.0.*, there is another extension implementing same functionality (i found it while searching for an minimizetotray alternative that worked with the ff beta):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5462

It is still in the "sandbox" and is marked as beta5pre but it works great with beta5.
