I’m in NYC!
June 18th, 2006Ahh! Midway through EECS graduation last night (I didn’t graduate — just helping) I left corn-town and headed for NYC.
Well, it happened. Five hours of flying, two hours of sleeping, and a 45min taxi ride later… I’m here. First thing I found my apt got settled. The place is pretty nice.
After that I wandered around the local neighborhood with roommate Peter. After we walked a good 30 blocks I took off for times square to figure out where I am going to be working. On the slow train it took me about 15min to go from my apt to the office… pretty sweet! From there I wandered back north for 50 blocks to the Museum of Natural History.
Real life dead dino!!
Anyway, work starts tomorrow, and I am REALLY excited to see what that is like.

Alex- I grew up on 30th between Park & Lex. so if you have any questions, feel free to drop me an email. I haven’t lived in NYC since 2003, so I don’t have info on the most recent restaurants and whatnot.
Enjoy NYC! Watch your wallet (literally and figuratively.)
